Yo Momma 2

The snow had fallen consistently during the night, and it still continued to fall in the morning. Ozzy prayed for the radio to grace him with a snow day and he sat threw breakfast. Listening intently. When the radio announcer started to read of the list of names Oz got up and scurried over to the radio. He sat on the marble slab that covered the radiator. When his butt got to hot, he got up. He was sure to analyze each school name. Making sure it wasn’t his.
When the broadcast ended and his school name still had not been called Oz slunk back to his seat next to his brother facing the stove where mom was still cooking eggs, or something. Oz looked out the window at the mounds of beautiful white. A perfect rampart of snow that was yet to be knocked off of the porch railing outside. “Mom,” said Oz “do we really have to go to school today?” “Why can’t we just get a snow day for once?
“Well,” Mom was obviously thinking about it. Then she took a glance out the window.
“Pleeeease.” Oz and James pleaded with her.
“Get ready for school and I’ll think about it.” With that Oz and James began eating their breakfast in silence. Quick as they could.

Mom went to go dig the car out and Ozzy and James trudged through the knee length snow around to the front sidewalk. Once there they could already hear the squeals of children. Boots, snow-pants and all Oz and James hurried down the street each making a snowball as they walked. Crossing the street they saw the group of kids already starting to make a snow fort. Laughing Oz and James advanced on their friend’s snow balls cocked and ready to launch.

The Trick Of Writing

When we do things in life, especially things we enjoy, certain habits start to develop. For instance I have trouble writing with noise, people and music. These things make my mind wander, I cannot concentrate or formulate any sort of substance. For instance, right now I'm listening to Empire State of Mind by Jay-Z and this sentence is taking ten times more time then it should.
When I write I find it easiest to be in other places or going from one to the other. On vacation and on planes happen to be ideal places to take out my computer and just, type. When my surroundings are different I get inspired and driven to write things down. The trick is to focus without focusing. Cliche, I know, but if you can center your mind and then let whatever you want to write flow out it makes writing much, much easier.
